Where did you go to college?
Currently attending Auburn University...graduating soon...
What are some of your favorite books?
I wish I read more. Dan Dehaan pretty much laid out everything you ever needed to be reminded of as a Christian in one book. I could probably The God You Can Know like once a week. Donald Miller has a great way of putting things into perspective. Maybe because Im a philosophy major...but I really love Crowder's writing style.
Who has been influential in your life?
Growing up, there was a handful of guys at FBC Montgomery who saw it fit to invest some time and energy into giving me some sort of direction. Among these, Brian Hogan, my youth minister, was probably most influential. He was there to spend the long afternoon hours with me. In college, Matt has been such a major player in helping me figure out what in the world God wants me to do. I would not be anywhere near where I am now if I had that direction/friendship from any lesser of a man.
Who has been influential in your ministry?
I have had the opputunity to work at both FBC Montgomery and Auburn United Methodist in the past. Both have taught me a lot about ministry, but the majority of my opinions of how ministry works have been formed in Grace Campus.
Favorite place for coffee?
I don't drink much coffee. Ha...such a vicious trend.
Best lunch in Auburn?
This is tricky...Nihon is a little heavy for the average lunch. Little known fact, I introduced Matt to the Caesar salad/greek pizza combo at Amsterdam's. However, the buffet at the chinese restaraunt in Heart of Auburn Hotel (not sure if it even has a name) is a great way to spend an hour and $5.95. But the victor for me, although mildly unoriginal, will have to be the $4 moo moo at Moe's-cheap, easy, gets the job done. Plus, you always see someone you know in Moe's.
Random Fact?
A glimpse into my life. I once had a run in with a large area of mud while pulling the 17ft trailer with all our gear in it on the way to a youth retreat we were doing. The mud got the best of our Dodge Ram Van (reese) but only because she had 10 people in her and 8000 lbs strapped to her back. She couldve made it. Needless to say, we did not arrive on time. This is constantly a great source of humility for me.
Favorite Television Shows?
I try to avoid TV...but lately Im not so good at that. For better or for worse, Grey's Anatomy has got me hooked. I would watch Lost, but who even knows what is going on there. I liked things in season 2 while they were still easy.
Places you have been?
Alaska. Mozambique. Countless small towns in Alabama to do youth gigs.
